October 4th - National Cinnamon Roll & National Vodka Day!

Hey Reader,

October is here, and we’re starting the month with a double celebration! October 4th is both National Cinnamon Roll Day and National Vodka Day.

Warm cinnamon, soft swirls, cozy fall baking…and cocktails? I’d say October is off to a pretty good start. 🍂

National Cinnamon Roll Day: October 4th

There’s something about the smell of cinnamon rolls baking that immediately makes the kitchen feel a little cozier.

Soft dough, cinnamon sugar tucked into every swirl, and a drizzle of icing on top? Yes, please. ✨

If you’re craving exactly that, try my Mini Cinnamon Rolls. They’re soft, sweet, wonderfully cinnamon-y, and their smaller size makes them dangerously easy to grab straight from the tray.

And if one cinnamon roll recipe simply isn’t enough, I’ve gathered even more ideas in my Cinnamon Roll Recipe Roundup. You’ll find everything from the classics to fun twists for filling your kitchen with that irresistible cinnamon smell.

National Vodka Day: October 4th

Now, from cinnamon swirls to cocktail glasses. 🍸

Vodka is one of those wonderfully versatile spirits that can go in so many directions, and I have plenty of recipes waiting for you for National Vodka Day.

My Vanilla Vodka and Tonic is simple, refreshing, and one of my longtime favorites. If you’re in the mood for something a little more elegant, try this Vodka Sidecar.

Want dessert and cocktails to collide? Make a batch of Vodka-Flavored Whipped Cream for topping drinks and desserts.

And for a proper fall cocktail, there’s the Apple Cider Moscow Mule, full of those crisp autumn flavors I start craving as soon as the weather cools down.

And that’s only the beginning. You can wander from Limoncello Martinis to Watermelon Moscow Mules depending on what kind of cocktail mood you’re in.

And Now…Let’s Get a Little Spooky 🎃

Cinnamon rolls and vodka may be taking center stage today, but Halloween is already creeping closer.

And you know me. I’m more than ready for spooky season.

If you’re starting to plan a Halloween party, movie night, or just want an excuse to make something wonderfully eerie, take a peek at my Halloween Recipe Roundup.

There are plenty of spooky treats and cocktails waiting for you, but I especially want to show you two of my newer Halloween creations.

First up is Witch’s Bubbly. 🧙‍♀️🥂

This deep-red sparkling witch cocktail combines homemade berry blood syrup with dry Prosecco and soda water, then gets its wonderfully creepy finishing touch from a lychee eyeball perched across the glass.

It’s bubbly, dramatic, a little wicked, and much easier to make than it looks.

Then there’s my Bloody Berry Halloween Bark.

Creamy white chocolate gets swirled with that same deep-red berry blood syrup, sprinkled with tart freeze-dried raspberries, and finished with a little flaky sea salt.

Once you break it into jagged shards, it looks like something that belongs on the dessert table of a candlelit vampire castle. 🧛‍♀️

And despite all that drama?

It’s ridiculously simple to make.

A spooky cocktail in one hand, a piece of bloody berry bark in the other…I think Halloween planning is officially underway. 🎃

Until then, enjoy your cinnamon rolls, pour yourself something delicious, and soak up those first proper October vibes.

Cheers,

XoXo Nora
