August 25th is National Whiskey Sour Day, which sounds like a very good reason to shake up something special.
Instead of reaching for the classic version, I’m sharing two colorful whiskey sours with completely different personalities. One is earthy and vibrant, while the other combines tart cranberry with warming cinnamon.
Which one would you try first?
Beetroot Sour
This striking cocktail combines earthy beetroot with bright citrus and smooth whiskey. It may sound unusual, but the flavors come together beautifully in a balanced sour that is every bit as delicious as it is colorful.
Tart cranberry and warming cinnamon give this whiskey sour its cozy seasonal flavor. It is lovely for late summer evenings and definitely worth saving for the holiday season too.
Even if whiskey is not usually your first choice, one of these colorful twists might surprise you. Both are vibrant, balanced, and a little different from the usual Whiskey Sour.
If you make one, hit reply and tell me which version you chose. I’d love to hear what you think!
