Too hot for hot coffee? Make this instead

Today's good mood is sponsored by Coffee

Hi my coffee friend ☕🍸,

June has officially reached that point where a hot cup of coffee sounds lovely in theory... but in real life, I want something cold, creamy, and icy in my glass.

So today I’m sending you one of my favorite hot-weather coffee treats: a homemade coffee slushy.

It is simple, refreshing, and such a good way to turn your coffee into a little afternoon treat. All you need are coffee ice cubes, milk or your favorite milk alternative, and a splash of syrup. Blend everything together until it turns thick and frosty, almost like soft melting snow.

And honestly? The real trick is keeping coffee ice cubes ready in the freezer.

That way, when the afternoon heat rolls in and you want something better than plain iced coffee, you already have the base waiting for you.

This coffee slushy is especially lovely when you want:

something colder than iced coffee
a quick coffee treat without much effort
a creamy drink you can sip with a straw or enjoy with a spoon
a fun way to use flavored syrups

I used syrup in mine, but you can easily make it your own. Vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, coconut, or cookie-style syrups all work beautifully here. And if your slushy gets too thick, just add a splash more milk. If it gets too thin, add a few extra coffee cubes and blend again.

Simple, icy, coffee-filled bliss.

From Nora’s coffee corner,
XoXo Nora

P.S. Make an extra tray of coffee ice cubes this week. Future-you will be very happy when the next hot afternoon arrives.
